After US President Joe Biden, the UK is also preparing to recognize the so-called Armenian genocide. During the session of the House of Commons, the draft law on the recognition of the so-called genocide was voted on.

The bill recognizing the so-called Armenian genocide was voted on in the House of Commons, the lower house of the British parliament.

At the session that took place on November 9, a unanimous consent decree was issued. The next vote on this draft law will take place on March 18, 2022, the statement said.
For many years, the presidents of countries such as Germany, Brazil, France and Italy, as well as the United States, have been using the concept of “Great Catastrophe”. But on April 24, 2021, US President Joe Biden caused tension on the Ankara-Washington line by announcing that he recognized the events of 1915.

Tim Loughton, who brought up the draft law in the United Kingdom, said: “While 31 countries around the world have officially recognized the genocide, the United Kingdom has still not recognized it. Failure to recognize the Armenian Genocide creates a risk of sending a dangerous message about the crimes committed,” he said.
